Welcome to Brasserie Hudson Quay

Brasserie Hudson Quay has been designed to recall the Grand European Cafes of France, Spain and Italy, providing a unique dining experience in a luxurious yet contemporary setting.

The style and ambience is distinctly European, providing an experience normally reserved for capital cities. In this respect, the Brasserie is exceptional and unique to the Greater Teesside area. Opening until late into the evening, the Brasserie is a destination venue offering a complete evening out, where customers can look out over the waters of Middlehaven inlet, chat with friends and relax against a background of chilled lounge music.

 

Based primarily on Classical French, Spanish and Italian cooking, Brasserie Hudson Quay offers a combination of style which predominates throughout Europe's Grand Cafes, restaurants and Brasseries, where the most popular dishes from all of the countries have merged.

Brasserie Hudson Quay is a European style destination restaurant in Middlesbrough, located within the flagship Middlehaven development of Hudson Quay which sits alongside Middlesbrough FC's Riverside Stadium. The access roads are the same, and lead directly onto the A66 from which you can pick up the A19 North or Southbound, leading to the A1 in either direction. The Brasserie has secure free car parking for over 100 cars during the evening and all weekend.

  • Butterwick Hospice Breakfast Meeting

    Brasserie Hudson Quay were pleased to welcome and sponsor Butterwick Hospice’s first corporate breakfast meeting of the year on Friday 7th February.

    Attracting over 100 local business leaders together, it was a great opportunity for the charity to meet corporate supporters in a friendly environment.

    Graham Leggatt-Chidgey, chief executive of Butterwick Hospice, updated guests on the new Transitional unit for young adults while Christine Hardy, clinical lead, told us her own personal story on how she came to work for Butterwick.

    We would like to thank everyone for attending and we hope to welcome back Butterwick Hospice to Brasserie Hudson Quay in the future.

  • New Year’s Eve at Brasserie Hudson Quay

    New Year’s Eve at Brasserie Hudson Quay was a 5-star dining affair alongside plenty of entertainment to chime in 2014.

    With every seat taken at the restaurant, over 100 people enjoyed saying goodbye to 2013 in style with a 10-course banquet, the UKs top Michael Buble tribute artist and plenty of fizz!

    The menu was a sight to behold with one-off unique dishes created just for the night including Gressingham Duck breast wellington, dark chocolate mud cake and a champagne sorbet.

    The UK’s top Michael Buble tribute artist Simon James crooned guests singing ever-popular big band and jazz songs including ‘Haven’t met you yet’, ‘Home’ and the classic ‘Cry me a river.’

    At midnight a true Scottish bagpiper, complete with kilt and bearskin hat, welcomed in 2014 with Auld Lang Syne and the crowd all came together singing in (almost) perfect harmony for a moment to remember.

    2013 has been a great year, opening up in July our first six months have went by in a flash and we would like to thank everyone for their amazing support throughout.

    2014 looks set to be a great year for Brasserie Hudson Quay. We are now devising plenty of stunning new dishes to add to the menu making full use of wonderful local and seasonal ingredients from our bespoke suppliers.

  • As the seasons change, so do our menus

    As the seasons change, so do our menus, and these are starting to reflect the changes in the fresh locally sourced produce we use for all of our dishes.

    We are fine tuning a fantastic presentation of Yorkshire suckling pig which is being added within the next few weeks. Inspired by Classical Spanish and Italian cooking, this is our own personal version which is, frankly, stunning. Our young brigade of nine chefs, who represent the finest up and coming award winning chefs in the North East, have excelled in spectacular fashion.

    We were the first in the Greater Teesside area to publish our Christmas program and we are welcoming Christmas Party Bookings from November 18th onwards for both Lunch and Dinner.

    Open for Christmas Day Lunch, we have produced a fabulous menu of choice, again using nothing but the very finest locally soruced ingredients we can find. This will be a Christmas Day to remember, service at a relaxed no hurry pace, and the locally sourced dry aged sirloin of beef will be exquisite.

    On Boxing Day we are putting on an amazing production with our Boxing Day Brunch. Serving nothing else but Brunch all day, and if you are going to be tired of the Turkey and rich foods, we are going to be the place to be. We start with your choice of either a Bloody Mary or Bucks Fizz with our compliments. Fancy Gammon and Duck Eggs with Rosti Potato and Cumberland Sausage? Come and join us.

    New Years Eve will be nothing short of spectacular. An absolutely sumptuous 10 course Dinner, again reflecting an innovative use of the seasonal ingredients, but being accompanied by one of the finest Michael Buble acts available in the country. We've managed to book him in between his featured world cruise tour. We will welcome in the New Year with the skirl of the Pipes and a glass of Champagne. (the piper really is a Scot!!!)

  • Brasserie hudson quay is now open!

    Middlehaven is boasting one of the region's most interesting new restaurants, Brasserie Hudson Quay. Brasserie Hudson Quay, overlooking the water, offers a slice of Europe with delicious fare ranging from boudin noir, to confit duck leg and pan fried marinaded swordfish. Customers can choose from over 60 dishes served from the a la carte, lounge, sunday lunch and breakfast menus.
